Application of solar photovoltaic energy interconnected to the electrical network. Thierhaupten case study - Germany -
Abstract
ONTARE. REVISTA DE INVESTIGACIÓN DE LA FACULTAD DE INGENIERÍA
This paper describes the viability of a grid connected solar photovoltaic installation, with a capacity of 78.96 kWp located in Theirhaupten, near Augsburg. The dimensioning and designing of this system was made by the authors using the following tools: PVGis, PV-Sol, Sunny Design and Würth, along with Microsoft Excel. The expected performance at both, technical and economic levels, was observed. The average solar radiation experienced at the site was 3000 Wh/m2/day, which resulted in an electricity generation of 75.043 kWh/year. The norm established by German legislation (Erneuerbare Energien Gesetz) for renewable energy stated that the baseline price was 0.16 €/kWh, and the results showed that this project was financially viable, providing a NPV (net profit value) of €14,966.72 and a return rate of 15.2%.
