Abstract

For many people, the mining and energy boom that has taken place in the country is a synonym of development, but actually, it also involves and transcends in problems for the marginalized communities, increasing the number of victims of forced displacements, deprivation of human health and environmental exploitation.

This article holds some research on the negative consequences brought by the investment in natural mineral reserves in Colombia; how this attracts multinationals and how they have violated the human rights of communities living around the exploitation
