Higher education in Colombia has become an issue of great relevance, not only on national government agenda but in the life of every Colombian since, in one way or another, it is through education that we specialize in that specific area in which we will perform throughout our lives. An analysis of the statistics of higher education in Colombia in recent years is made (coverage rate, tuition, wage and employment relationship) in order to observe what benefits are generated when studying more years in other countries. As a result, it can be highlighted that in Colombia, progress has been made on issues of coverage and enrollment rate (at various levels), wages and employment relationship increase according to the years of study and in general, countries with the highest average of years under study earn higher wages.
