Approach to the perception of the Colombian economy in 2017: empirical evidence from the student community at the EAN University
Abstract
The national economic current situation is a phenomenon that concerns Colombians and foreign investors. Currently, we are experiencing a moment of great uncertainty due to the international economic panorama, the strong national circumstances in terms of investment, the doubt about the ethical role of the State as an organism, and the tensions in political matters due to the high migration and the economic crisis of the Venezuelan State; however, the short-term outlook seems optimistic, as emerging economies continue to grow and act as allies of Colombian production.
Although the investment value that was registered by the DANE for the third quarter of 2017 over the GDP was 2%, changes are expected, depending on the decisions that will be made in the new government. Due to these changes, the approach towards the collective appreciation is what is sought to be evidenced in this research, through an empirical sample destined to know the opinions of the student community at the EAN University.
