Quality of life: shopkeepers in Bogotá
Abstract
The following article presents an analysis of the quality of life of the owners of neighborhood stores that are located in Bogotá, in the localities of Ciudad Bolívar and Kennedy. The analysis was carried out based on the surveys of shopkeepers in these locations, through the support of the Secretariat of Economic Development.
According to the surveys, it can be stated that some of the dimensions of the quality of working life in the theory of Richard Walton are not observed in the life of the great majority of the shopkeepers who were surveyed. For example, some stores do not have healthy and safe working conditions, and some shopkeepers do not have an adequate balance between work and other living spaces.
