Models of intersubjective expression in texts written by women

Abstract

This paper aims to describe the linguistic behavior of women in different circumstances of interlocutionary expression. According to recent studies, there are pragmalinguistic phenomena that generically identify female writing, namely categories of intensity, epistemic modality devices, accumulation of specific argumentative strategies, etc. Likewise, it is in response discourses and other characteristically intersubjective ones that it is observed to a greater extent how the expression of feminine identity accommodates itself to linguistic structures that suppose common places. In this research, therefore, samples of different discursive genres written by women that stand out for their interlocutive nature, which facilitates the recognition of identity narratives from a social point of view, are addressed. In them, the linguistic strategies through which the presenters become present in their speech and individualize it are qualitatively analysed. The results of the study suggest that there are some patterns of intersubjective behavior that serve women as idiosyncratic expressions in their texts. This article describes these patterns in detail and proposes them as potentially recognizable schemes in other discourses with similar characteristics.
