An analysis of managerial competitiveness in Colombia as a tourist destination
Abstract
Rev.esc.adm.neg
Although the tourist sector has been deeply studied and analyzed worldwide taking into account different points of view, Colombia has had a limited literary development. This study shows a theoretical analysis about the main factors that may affect the competitiveness of Colombia as a tourist destination, compared with the most successful countries in the world, i.e. those countries which have a greater amount of international tourist arrivals.
This study suggests that managerial competitiveness requires improvements in those areas that are critical when evaluating the image of Colombia as a tourist destination.
