Tutorial networks in the elaboration of research protocols

Abstract

The aim of this work was to establish the relationship between the use of the digital library tutoring 4.0 and the elaboration of the research protocol, in order to identify the challenges that the tutor has to face in the teachinglearning process mediated by information and communication technologies, and the orientation in the formation of skills and knowledge from the use of devices and collaborative networks for the development of documentary and meta-analytical research skills. We carried out an exploratory, cross-sectional, and correlational study with a sample of 100 students from a public university enrolled in the system of professional practice and social service by means of an electronic platform, device, or network. The results show that the elaboration of the research problem background is the central axis of the protocol, although we suggest the extension of the proposal to other forms of graduation, such as the dissertation. They also make clear the need for tutors who have greater knowledge of the use of different platforms, so that their professional training should focus on the use of technologies, the use of English, knowledge of different platforms, and being creative in the way of working with students, as well as having the capability to identify how to work with the different cultural, social, and economic aspects of the students.
