The Information and Communication Technologies as resources for the development of mathematical logical thinking in ninth grader students of La Paz Educational Institution
Abstract
The aim of this article is to present the results of a descriptive study whose purpose was to identify strategies and didactics that could be brought to the classroom with the intermediation of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) resources, that could constitute a contribution to the development of mathematical logical thinking in the students of La Paz Educational Institution.
In the first place, the document presents the initial state of the students regarding basic competences that are related to logical thinking. In a second moment, the possible causes of the low performance in this area are reviewed, to consequently address the way in which technology has intervened in the development of these skills in students. Finally, some didactic strategies and ICT tools are presented and proposed to be worked in the classroom as a result of the research that was carried out, and the analysis of the results after the application of the pilot test.
